With iCloud, you automatically get 5 GB of free iCloud storage for your photos, videos, files and more. If you want more storage and premium features, you can upgrade to iCloud+ from any of your devices.

iCloud+ is a premium subscription that provides additional storage to keep your photos, videos, files, and more backed up and automatically available across your devices. It also includes access to features like iCloud Private Relay, Hide My Email, Custom Email Domain, and HomeKit Secure Video support for a private and connected experience.

When you buy an iPhone, you automatically get 5GB of free storage on Apple's iCloud service. But, if that's not enough space for all your photos, documents, messages, and other data, you may need to consider buying more iCloud storage space.

3. At the top of the iCloud page underneath the bar showing how much storage space you're using, tap Manage Storage. If you're using iOS 10.2 or older, tap Storage.

4. If you don't currently have an iCloud storage subscription, tap Buy More Storage. If you already have a plan and want to increase it, tap Change Storage Plan.

Hi, I would like to know how I may purchase more iCloud storage without having to upgrade on an apple device such as, an iPhone, ipod Touch, ipad or a Mac? In the past I have owned an iMac G5, ipod click wheel, 1st generation ipod Touch and a Macbook Pro (2006). All are vintage now, but I am still using my Apple Mail, but on an android phone at present - Sony Xperia Z5, through an email client. Some of my old devices are still working, but I am having a problem at present opening up my Macbook Pro (2006), which features Snow Leopard OS X 10.6.8 version. Therefore, I cannot follow the normal way of upgrading on an Apple device with my Apple ID. I really need however, to buy more storage space soon because at present some of my emails are not coming through to me because I have been notified by Apple iCloud service that I only have 20 Mb of space left, so I want to upgrade to 50 GB of more storage space, but I don't know how to do it without an updated device or for that matter, without my currently non-working Macbook Pro. Therefore, please can anyone out there help me or direct me to Apple support? For some reason I can't get through to Apple's contact support page on my Sony Xperia Z5 either?

You can get more storage with any computer - Windows or Mac. It doesn't have to be your own. If the Xperia can access the desktop version of the iCloud site, that should work too, but I wouldn't know.

As far as I know, you still have to be able to sign into iCloud on the computer in system preferences on the Mac in order to upgrade the storage, so not just any computer will do unless you create your own user account and your own iCloud account on that device.

If you back up iOS device(s) to iCloud, you'll soon hit problems if you try to stay under the 5GB storage limit. To reduce the amount of iCloud storage consumed by iCloud backups, you can back up your iOS device(s) to a Mac or PC and delete existing backups you may have created from iCloud.

However, where there's a will, there's a way. If you'd like to keep your data at your fingertips and want to buy more storage for your iPhone, you have the option to go with cloud servers, through an iCloud+ or OneDrive subscription.

If you're going to pay to add more storage for your iPhone, make it count. Apple offers three iCloud+ plans to help you upgrade your storage space to cloud servers, so you never have to worry about potentially losing meaningful photos and videos if you ever lose your phone or it becomes damaged.

The Apple One plan features 50GB, 200GB, or 2TB of iCloud storage, plus Apple Music, Apple TV+, and Apple Arcade, with options for Apple News+ and Fitness+. Prices range from $16.95 to $22.95 and $32.95 monthly. Our family likes the extra TV and music perks, so the $22.95-per-month plan is a good fit for us.

A Microsoft 365 Family subscription for $99.99 not only gives you and household members access to Microsoft Office apps, like Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, but it also includes 1TB of OneDrive storage per person for up to six people.

To avoid paying for cloud storage when your iPhone is full, you can always go through your phone and delete anything that you don't need any more or any apps that you aren't using. It may also be time to back up your iPhone to a Mac, for example, to offload photos and videos, while keeping them safely stored. Another way to avoid paying for more storage is to make sure you're taking advantage of your free iCloud space.

When you first buy an iPhone or other Apple product, you set up an Apple ID. This is your Apple account that contains all your information, settings, contacts, app history, and even your subscriptions -- it's all in one place. Your Apple ID gives you access to 5GB of free iCloud storage for anything from photos and videos to files and app data.

Internal storage or device storage is the finite amount of storage space included within your device. iPhones come with a set amount of storage, like 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1,024GB. This means that once all this storage space is full, the new photos and videos will have nowhere to go, so you'll need to do something about it, either delete data or upgrade to a cloud subscription. Device storage also means that you can only access your photos and videos using that device.

Cloud storage, on the other hand, is when data is stored on a company's cloud servers and typically involves a subscription, like iCloud+. Cloud storage means that your data can be uploaded from your iPhone to the cloud using your account, and you can delete it from your phone or keep low-quality versions of it that occupy less device storage.

Unfortunately, you can't expand the iPhone's internal memory with a flash card. The only way to expand the storage on your iPhone is to use a cloud service like iCloud+ or OneDrive, or by upgrading to a newer iPhone with more storage.

"How to buy more iPhone storage" is a popular search query on Google as iOS users scratch their heads over how to upgrade their iCloud. Perhaps they've been getting repetitive, irksome messages that their iCloud storage is full, or maybe they've realized that their current iCloud capacity simply won't cut it. No matter what camp you're in, you'll need a larger storage plan to meet your needs.

Apple offers three tiers for iCloud storage: 50GB, 200GB and 2TB. They are monthly subscriptions. For 50GB, you'll have to shell out $0.99 monthly. The 200GB and 2TB plans cost $2.99 and $10.99 per month, respectively.

iPhone users get 5GB of free iCloud storage with their device, and if you love taking selfies and videos, it can run out quickly. If you don't want to delete any of your content to make more room on the cloud, you can upgrade your iCloud tier to a paid plan.

Low storage space on your device can adversely affect its smooth-running. So expanding your backup storage space to free up your local storage is always helpful. Additionally, as stated earlier, upgrading to iCloud+ helps if you want to manage files on any device.

Step 4. On the next screen you will get multiple options for how much storage you can purchase for you account. iCloud Storage plans and prices are as follows.
