Worms Crazy Golf ((FULL))

Worms Crazy Golf is a 2011 action game developed by Team17. A sequel to the mobile-exclusive Worms Golf, the game uses the basic framework of the Worms series as the foundation for a 2D golf title.

Worms Crazy Golf

The game utilizes a side-on two-dimensional playfield, as in the core Worms series. The goal is to putt a ball from the starting point on the map to the hole in as few turns (or strokes) as possible. There are also coins to be collected on each map which can be used to purchase unlockables including costumes, golf clubs and balls. Additionally, there are greenskeeper worms and sheep on the field that can explode when hit by the ball, and weapon crates containing perks and utilities. For some reason, the game does not feature online play of any kind.

Aesthetically, the game draws from the third 2D generation of the Worms series, specifically Worms 2: Armageddon and Worms Reloaded. To celebrate the release of Worms Crazy Golf, a golf-themed terrain style was added to the Microsoft Windows version of Worms Reloaded via update.

After you have completed the first few holes in the game collecting coins, you can purchase some new items to improve your golfer. On the select golfer screen, hover over your golfer and press . From here, you can purchase a wide range of items ranging from clubs to hats. In order to make the later holes in the game easier I would recommend buying the all round clubs which have a 7/10 rating for Power, Control and Accuracy. Purchasing any new club will unlock this trophy.

Only one controller is needed for this trophy. From the main menu select Hot Seat Multiplayer. Then use the Set Golfers option and add two golfers to the game. Next, select Set Game Type to Quick Game and then select Start Game. On the next screen press three times to ensure that you are only using one controller to control both worms. Now all you have to do is complete the hole using both worms and the trophy will unlock!

I have been ensnared by it for only an hour or so now and can already tell it is unmistakably a game both about worms and golf, in meticulously equal measure. You are of course aware of the Worms franchise, in which negotiations between many nations of invertebrates break down, leading to an interminable and ultimately apocalyptic war (I believe as an Orwellian allegory relating to the Sarajevo incident). Well, Worms Crazy Golf is a surreal spin-off from that most serious subject. It is quite refreshing and at the same time, faintly worrying. Europe is once again in turmoil, after all.

Team 17 have really ramped up the Worms machine recently, and following hot on the heals of Worms 3D comes Worms Crazy Golf, released on the PSN, Steam and iOS all at the same time. As a side-on light-hearted game it certainly recalls the graphical charm of the older Worms titles, but surely a golfing game is just cashing in on a popular franchise, right?

The ESRB's online database is currently listing Worms Crazy Golf for the PlayStation 3 and PC. According to the ESRB's description, the legless, spineless combatants will set down their quest for global domination in favor of a 2D game of golf.

Courses bear titles such as Fun Fair, Graveyard, and Pirate Cafe, and in typical Worms fashion, the game will heavily emphasize the use of special abilities and power-ups. The ESRB notes that players will also attempt to complete challenges such as hitting sheep, bats, and other animals with golf balls.

I love the new twist and direction that the developers have taken this series in. It combines all the fun of the original Worms game with the strategy of a puzzle game and then wraps it all up in a nice little golf package. Definitely worth the $$.

When you bring other players into the fray, using the pass-the-handset mode, Worms Crazy Golf starts to feel like the game that's lasted two decades without really needing to change. It may be golf, but it's also Worms.

Worms Crazy Golf is developed by Team 17 Software and it offers a unique experience for this franchise. You can now play in three 18-hole golf courses while facing various challenges or face fellow Worms player in multiplayer games accompanying up to 4 players!

Worms developer Team 17 has had plenty of experience at making us giggle over the years. Having had its head buried firmly in the Worms sand since its inception, the British developer has delighted us with its squeaky-voiced platoon of earthworms, crazy weapons and quirky animations for over 15 years. Unsurprisingly, with a new variety of platforms at its disposal, it isn't about to call it quits on the long-running franchise just yet. Worms Crazy Golf HD once again draws on Team 17's unique sense of humour and ingenious design skills, only this time taking us to the relative quiet of the golf course rather than the chaos of the open-island maps of previous games.

Worms Crazy Golf HD bears many of the hallmarks of its predecessors, with colourful cartoon-like levels, cute Worms with attitude and a host of familiar items, from exploding sheep to collectible crates. The major difference this time is these little critters are now playing a leisurely game of golf rather than beating each other up with bazookas and their kamikaze abilities. As a result, it's a much calmer and casual affair, trading in tough team tactics for silky solo skills. That's not to say that Worms Crazy Golf isn't a challenge, because it's certainly designed to test you mentally. Initially, gameplay requires nothing more than simply moving your finger across the screen to control direction and trajectory of your shot before pushing down on the golf ball in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen to set the power of your swing. 041b061a72
