Set in 2013, Bullet Witch tells the story of a desperate fight between man, who is on the verge of extinction, and demons. You play as a witch named Alicia. Although the game clearly features some fantasy elements, it actually takes place in a realistic world setting. Bullet Witch is an action adventure with story sequences intermixed with gun fights and magic.

On the Pillar of Autumn on your way to the Captain, just inside the entry is a bulletin board with a few eggs on it: Joke announcements, a Reach poster with "Defy the Covenant" and Carter, Kat and Emile in stylized form, Dark Planetiod Rising with trollface in the corner, missing "cat" with pictures of a possum who "might be scared", band called Fist of the Unicorn. Wait for that guy that woke you up to die, then jump down. Get to the captain and shoot him. As soon as Cortana says, 'rampant', find the door the invincible marines came out of. If you can get past them, another door will open. The Marines can't get you while you're in here. Look up at the 'M' made out of bullets. After you see it you're trapped and the marines now can kill you.
Several new features have been added in order to spice up gameplay and give the game a more realistic feel. The first of these include the implementation of bullet spread for weapons such as the pistol and assault rifle, which causes the weapons to fire inaccurately unless the iron sights mechanic featured for select weapons are used, which allow for more precise aiming but reduces the player's movement. Most weapons in the game now feature recoil like other first-person shooters, instead of the weapons being perfectly accurate like in the previous games. The player can also sprint, letting them run from one location to another and outrun enemies with ease.
