Artform was founded in the late 1990's by two young skateboarders/artists out of Los Angeles California under the name Artform Skateboards. The brand continues to exist under the same artistic direction it was founded upon.

Calligraphy, from the Greek words kallos (beauty) and graphos (writing), refers to the harmonious proportion of both letters within a word and words on a page. While some of the best examples of calligraphic writing make this art form appear effortless, each letter and diacritical mark is the result of painstaking measurements and multiple strokes.
A number of factors, such as the prospective audience, content of the text, and the shape and function of an object, informs the type of script employed. Graceful and fluid scripts such as nasta'liq are used for poetry (fig. 14), Qur'an manuscripts are written in bold and stately scripts (fig. 13), and royal correspondence utilized complex scripts that are difficult to forge (see image 23). Although there are exceptions, most scripts have several specific functions (figs. 11, 13, 14).

This course introduces students to dance as a live and performing art through a variety of experiences including attendance at live performances, examination of videos and theoretical texts, and physical participation in the practice and performance of dance. Certainly there are a fair amount of so-called clowning or idiot performances that unravel, kind of literally, into nudity and yelling chaotically at each other or the audience. Many of the shows by Clown Zoo, a collective of clowns that has performed all around L.A., including in the abandoned zoo enclosures in Griffith Park, got very physical, very blue and went delightfully off the rails during lunchtime performances.
In conclusion, I found both readings to be very informative and gave two different, yet relatable perspectives on the subject of culinary art. Overall, I do believe that food is a relevant art form.
