Under the National monetization pipeline, Government of India has set up a target of generating or raising six lakh crore rupees by 2024-25 and it starting from 21-22. Annually government of India has set up a certain amount of money to be raised under the National monetization pipeline first point, second important point under NMP many of the sectors are covered where government of India wants to monetize those projects, brownfield projects and generate this particular money various sectors like railways, roads and the power sector. The railways has a target of monetizing around 1.5 lakh crore rupees, just about 1.5 lakh crore rupees that would be approximately more than 25 percentage of total value of national monetization pipeline target itself.
In the railway sector there are various issues which are going to hinder the process of monetization for the year 2021 as well as 2022-23 that is for the current year, the target is around 88,000 crores, because of slower pace of monetization within the railways this particular target will not be meant and for 2023 the monetization target is around 1.6 lakh crore rupees again because of the railways we will not be able to meet the target even in the next financial year and maybe after this that is in that 23-24 and 24 and 25 the pace of monetization in the railways will pick up and as a result of this, we'll be able to raise a lot of money under the National monetization pipeline goal as such.
