I am interested in using Ubuntu for the fist time, so I went to the Ubuntu download page ( ), to get the download file. When the file downloaded he file, it appeared in WinRAR, so I cannot burn the file to a DVD. Can anybody point me in the right direction as to how to burn this file to a DVD when the file appears as a WinRAR file? Any help would be great appreciated. Thanks :)

How about give it a try? First download and install it on your computer and then follow the steps below to create bootable USB as well as create image backup. Please remember to backup your USB drive in advance, because it will erase all the data.

Oh, and Rufus is fast. For instance it's about twice as fast as UNetbootin, Universal USB Installer or Windows 7 USB download tool, on the creation of a Windows 7 USB installation drive from an ISO. It is also marginally faster on the creation of Linux bootable USB from ISOs.

The Media Creation Tool can can be used to just download the ISO image of Windows 10, which can then be used with something like Rufus to create the bootable USB drive. This offers the advantage of being able to keep a backup of the ISO image, as well as create multiple boot drives without having to download the image each time. If you run into problems with the Media Creation Tool when it comes to creating the bootable flash drive, you can use the following method.

This was mentioned previously in the Windows 10 section, but if you are creating a USB boot drive for Windows 10 and your 64GB drive is only showing 32GB available, then you need to recreate your boot drive with Rufus. The Media Creation Tool (MCT) only supports drives up to 32GB, and anything larger will have a second partition made, which Windows can not detect normally (but is still available if you plug it into a Linux machine for example). So download the ISO with MCT, then flash it with Rufus.

There are two options when downloading the ISOs. One for hardware appliances and another for software appliances. If you have a physical Sophos appliance use the first option, if you are building your own on a virtual machine or PC, use the second option.

You don't have to run around trying to find writable CD's or USB optical drives to build a physical Sophos UTM device. You also don't have use the Sophos UTM Smart Installer USB drive. Although, if you are routinely building Sophos UTMs from scratch, it might be worth the convenience. For more details on the Smart Installer check out -us/support/utm-downloads/utm-smart-installer.aspx

YUMI (Your USB Multiboot Installer) is a Multiboot USB Boot Creator that can be used to make a Multisystem flash drive. This tool can quickly create a Multiboot bootable USB flash drive containing several different ISO files. Use it to boot from USB your favorite Live Linux portable Operating Systems, Linux and Windows Installers, antivirus utilities, disc cloning, backup, penetration testing, diagnostic tools, and much more. Once the drive has been prepared, you can use the front end Installer to learn more about, find, or download distributions and tools to put on a select drive. The front end will create an organized folder structure and copy each ISO to the drive for you (recommended if you want the tool to keep track of your installations for removal). It can also create persistent storage files for you and the related .json entry. For example, each Ubuntu based distribution can have its own persistent storage up to 10GB. ;)

Nowadays the size of the operating system is getting bigger and bigger, more than 4GB. Meanwhile, a normal DVD is only 3.8GB, unless you use a Dual Layer DVD, which size is up to 8Gb. However, dual-layer DVD sellers are pretty hard to find unless you purchase them online. So, the best way to install Windows with more than 4 GB in size is by using a USB flash drive. Of course with the help of Rufus application. Do you want to try this Rufus application? Download the latest Rufus free full version or download Rufus portable below.

The software is designed with two methods of creating portable Windows. One is to create a portable copy of an existing Windows, and the other is to install a clean, portable version of Windows on the USB drive.

Now that you have a made a portable version of Windows 10, how do you use or run it from the USB drive? Apparently, you can't use it without a host computer with a monitor. Portable Windows will not run automatically if you just plug the USB drive into the computer. You need to use the USB drive as the host computer's primary boot device. 041b061a72
